YKSoul is pleased to announce its second All-Dayer event. This will be on Saturday 16 August 2008, at the University of York. Please click on the link on the left 'All-Dayer 2008' for further details.

Tickets are available already for YKSoul’s All-Dayer event at the University of York on 16 August 2008. This is YKSoul’s biggest ever soul event, as well as the largest soul event in York.

This represents a significant milestone for YKSoul, the charities supported and the University of York. We have secured some top-name DJs for the day, and there will be decks in three separate rooms to enjoy. Importantly, YKSoul wants to do everything to ensure everyone who comes along to the all-dayer has a good time, and make this a fantastic, enjoyable and memorable day. Anyone who has been to the University of York campus will know the setting itself is magnificent, with plenty of outdoor seating just outside the bars surrounding a lake.

Although we are confident the all-dayer will be a sell-out, YKSoul is a charity collective. As such, we don’t have access to substantial funds, nor do we generate any income for ourselves from these events. So that we can pull this all-dayer off successfully, we’d be delighted if you could please help us out by buying your tickets now. This will ensure that that we can pay, for example, our deposit to secure the venue, and cover our initial outlays.

Lastly, thank you for your continued and valued support: we look forward to seeing many of you at our All-Dayer on 16 August.

Residents DJs Tony Hatfield and John Parker will be joined every first Saturday of the month by Mark ‘Mad Dog’ Dawson as a 7ts and modern specialist plus a special guest. The opening night on 2^nd Sept saw Colin Woods (ex Yorkshire Rider/Soul a go go)

Running from 8pm -1am with late bar, great dance floor, adjacent lounge ‘to chill’, ample car parking space and a big welcome for record dealers, this promises to be something rather special and sadly lacking since the demise of Holgate Soul Club over a year ago.

Held at the Scarborough Mere with possibly the cheapest bar since on the scene is no more. Did play Northern Soul and Motown. Was organised by Jinxie.

Currently searching for a new home. They hope to be up and running for their 30th anniversary, once Big Kev has perfected his 50 turn spin followed by a backdrop n high kick, if the hip replacement goes ok? Porky promises to stop being a part timer once Tiz stops nagging him and wears one of his own tops!!
